I’m over the moon to share this one, readers. This is my White Whale book, the one I believed in the most of everything I’ve ever written. It’s always felt special to me—weird, yes, but special. Ready for your first peek?

This whole thing started in 2018. My 16 y/o goddaughter was walking with me down the streets of New Orleans and she said, “I saw my first dead body in Walmart.” I stopped in my tracks and said, “There’s a book in that line.”

Then proceeded to turn myself inside out trying to find a story wild enough, beautiful enough, to fit the feeling that blew through my chest when I heard that first line.

I’m about to have a new pen name, Nika Grace. This was at my request, because this book is so different from my contemp romances, even though there’s a very intense romance at the heart of this one, too. And now I have TWO books coming out in the next year, both in brand-new genres. Kiss & Tell: How to Write Unforgettable Sex Scenes and then next fall, Serial Killer Wanted.
